simpsons for hallmark

Simpsons_Tin_HallmarkWhen The Simpsons Movie was about to be released, the license suddenly became relevant again and Hallmark went head-to-head against American Greetings in pursuit of the lucrative product rights.

I wrote, designed and illustrated the front and back labels for this mint tin, which was produced by Hallmark as a promo gift for execs and dignitaries throughout the Fox entertainment empire. I used Mister Sparkle (a reference to a much-beloved gag in a single episode) in order to help Fox understand that we were all hardcore Simpsons nerds. Hallmark secured the license. I’m almost sure it was the mints that sealed the deal.
