My name is Kevin Skinner. I met Hulk Hogan once. He seemed sad. I have never in my life eaten a baked bean, nor do I intend to. In 1978, when the two-part TV movie “Rescue From Gilligan’s Island” aired, I had what can only be described as a nervous breakdown inspired by the mere prospect of an untimely end to the castaway hijinks that had served as a shining beacon in an otherwise dim youth. Ultimately, I was consoled only by the cinematic epic’s ironic conclusion wherein (SPOILER ALERT) the entire cast find themselves marooned once again on their island prison – doomed to die, unmourned and surrounded by coconut-powered radios and bamboo golf carts.
“If I can’t do it, homie, it can’t be done.”
I have a degree in illustration from CCS in Detroit, Michigan and I have received awards for illustration.
I have written greeting cards, kids’ books and commercials, and I have received awards for writing.
I have designed consumer products, websites and ads, and I have received awards for design.
I’m not saying that I’m good at everything, because that would be a super dickish thing to say. What I am saying is that I do everything and then other people say I’m good at it.
Totally different thing.
This site offers a sampling of my professional work, my personal work and some stuff for which the classification “work” is entirely inaccurate. I hope you enjoy your time here. The bathroom is around the corner to the right. Help yourself to whatever’s in the fridge. Lock up when you leave. Thanks.
